579. South-Kantou natural gas
A gas pipe crossing a nearby brook, owned by "Kantou Natural Gas Development" in Mobara.
As mentioned before, those who are in the area from the Tokyo's Loop Nr.7 to the Kuju-kuri-hama spend their life on a great gas field.
In Mobara area, it is possible to extract water containing methane gas CH4 and iodine I/I2 without digging so deep. The estimate gas reserves is said to correspond to 600 - 800 years of the present extraction level.
Though I did not notice until now, the elevated steel frame is equipped with a sharp rod at its edge.
A hard-drawn stranded copper conductor connected to a terminal welded to the rod base is seen going down.
No doubt, it indicates a lightning protection system. But the rod is not pointed vertically, but horizontally as in the photo.
The grounding resistance is 3.8 Ω at the first measurement.

A full-size page ad. of Yomiuri News Apr. 1st issue, announcing a company's name change from "Dai-Nihon Sumitomo Seiyaku" to "Sumitomo Pharma".
All in Chinese characters is annoying and consideration to overseas business look to accelerate this trend.
No explanation at all below the background image. That makes me try to explain it by myself.
First of all, why the pharmaceutical company uses this image which looks suggesting aircraft development?
It is understandable that the company needed something matches the catch phrase of "Want to do something about. Thus, challenge."
However, for a pharmaceutical company, there should be many other images relevant to pharmacy, like the development of the penicillin preparation.
So I checked online a bit, and found that the old Mr. NINOMIYA Chuhati had joined the company's counterpart before their merger, "Dai-Nihon Seiyaku", after retiring from the Imperial Army, and later became its branch president.
Needless to say, he is the very person who had been engaged in the research and development of aircraft before the Wright brothers, and well known for his aircraft, "karasu (crow) type flying machine" and "tama-musi type flying machine".
This fact, most probably, is the answer to the above question. Well, it doesn't matter.
By the way, I have a model of his "karasu type flying machine" still kept in the box.
I bought this model decades ago. Its box indicates the maker name, "K.K. YOSHIDA" in Mino/Gifu. The photo below is from its manual.

The caption below the photo indicates "A joro spider - - -". Well, this is the jyorou-gumo we are familiar with.
It says that since the first sighting in US Georgia 9 years ago, they have been expanding their habitats in the US East Coast.
The Japanese archipelago and the US East Coast situate in the same latitude and their east sides face big ocean with the warm sea current flowing to the north. Thus the creatures see the same environment and can survive without a big hindrance even if they are brought in on either side.

An Italian player with uniform number 11 kneels. I thought he was regretting North Macedonia's goal. But the caption says this is a shot after he missed a shooting chance.

Pictures can be dangerous. First is the wrong assumption of the viewer as I made. To be blamed is myself.
The problem is in that even a fake caption can be utilized. A picture of a road side stone can have a caption "A stone collected on the Moon". Some might believe in it.
A picture simply represents a space. No time reference. It lacks information. Therefore, those who see a picture want the "story" which might be hidden behind.
If someone, by taking this in mind, puts a "fake story" to a photo, it is possible to let many interpret it in a completely opposite way to the reality.
In case the wrong explanation matches the information which is hoped for by many, the effect is multiplied.
Especially, at this time of uncertain situations, regardless of still images or moving ones, we need to carefully verify such pictures as to whether or not they are intentionally given explanations different from the realities.
